Founder & CEO
Brenton grew up on a family hobby farm, which is a polite way of saying he learned early that the work doesn't care whether you feel like doing it. He turned that work ethic into jobs with local farmers, then into a career that's spanned concrete, excavation, electrical, petroleum, and residential, commercial, industrial, and multi-family construction — from the trenches to the leadership table. Those experiences curated his instinct for what's next approach. Brenton is the one constantly asking how Acadia gets better — sharpening how we design, how we build, and how we take care of the people we build for. Underneath all of that, his real measure of a great year hasn't changed: it's the team that's still here, getting better, and serving the people of Cache Valley they grew up alongside. Brenton isn't just building homes — he's building the people who build them.
Cody Barker
Co-Founder & Director of Construction
Cody took a summer job pouring concrete footings in high school, expecting it to last until something better came along. Nothing did. While earning a business degree at Utah State, he poured concrete full-time, then went on to run single-family and multi-family projects as a foreman before earning his certification as a state building inspector. That path — from the rebar up through the inspection clipboard — is why he runs Acadia's day-to-day with a discipline most builders can't replicate. He knows exactly what happens on a job site when a project manager is stretched too thin, when a detail gets rushed, or when a trade gets squeezed — and he runs Acadia so those things don't happen. The most rewarding part of the work, for him, is still the same as it was at eighteen: taking someone's ideas, putting them on paper, and watching a real home rise out of them — built right, on time, by a team that has the room to do it well.
